Base; head - Playmates 9" Lara Croft (wetsuit)/body; Rogue.
Other Parts Required; Ken hiking boots, Action Man socks (too lazy to sew my own), guns and backpack from the 9" Lara.
After seeing Gareee and Levithan's great Lara figures, and being taunted by Playmates inanimate 9" figures something had to be done and then I finally found a wetsuit Lara on sale....
Off with her head; sliced her head clean off; now the tricky bit, getting this onto an FC body. Removed the FC head, the arrowhead from the neckpost... and then the disc from the post too so just a little stump was left sticking out of the FC's neck. Then back to Lara's head, slicing any remaining neck off before starting to carve away inside her head (beware (i) sharp knives - lots of potential here for slicing bits off your fingers and hands and (ii) Lara's pigtail which could go the same way too) until it sat over the top of her neck without resembling a giraffe too much. Next trick is to get the neck peg touching the top of the hole in Lara's head so it can be glued on to allow the nead to move. I used slices of the plastic from Lara's neck for this. If you find the head now wobbles too much, dribble some superglue down into the joint... and keep the joint moving until the glue has set; this should have stiffened the neck up slightly (works on all limbs too).
The rest was pretty plain sailing; lycra top, pleather trousers, belt and holsters. Repaint the hands. Slice the heels off her feet, add the socks and slip into a pair of Ken's repainted hiking boots. Lara's guns and backpack are her own from the 9" statue.
