I'm not overly keen on the DC
9" figures and am even less keen after having to customise one.
Bloody nightmare! However, the result was most pleasing.
The trouble seems to lie in someone at DC hating customisers - how ease can you explain heads glued onto their pegs? Arms that need guantlets to hide the gap between arm and wrist? And legs that plug into boots? Sheesh!
Anyway, Manhunter Paul Kirk here wears a Magneto outfit with custom sleeves. The tunic is made from white vinyl, belt is yellow PVC with detail drawn on with a thin black marker (and varnished... permanent marker ain't all that permanent on shiny PVC). The boot detail is construction from craft foam.
Weapons? The Mauser machine pistol
comes from Cotswold Collectables/Elite Brigade (see my links
page), the bundi dagger is scratch built from bits of plasticard and
dowelling while the throwing stars are just a couple of star sequins
glued atop each other - simple, but effective.
